Honorable Mrs. Madeleine Albright - former Secretary of State,
I sincerely hope this letter finds you in good health and prosperity. After our several encounters, I have developed the highest respect for you and your human rights issues and can understand why many cultures hold you to the highest regards for your beliefs.
Each time I read the book you gave to me, I become even more appreciative of your moral, humane, and political virtues. In particular, I am extremely grateful for your thoughtfulness of democratic Iranians during various historical events, such as exposing the U.S. role in the coup d’état of 28 Mordad 1332 (August 19, 1953).
After recent events, people around the world, especially Iranians, are requesting that Ms. Neda Aghasoltan be nominated by Time Magazine as "Person of the Year" for 2009. She sacrificed her life with hopes of bringing freedom and democracy to Iran. Any help you may be able to offer toward achieving this endeavor would be greatly appreciated by those wishing to nominate Ms. Aghasoltan.
Sincerely,
Ali Zarrabi
